Sari Munro
FOUNDER, DIRECTOR & INTERIOR dESIGNER
Our small yet dedicated team is led by Sari.
Sari is known for her stylish and practical taste, creative problem-solving skills and ability to make even small spaces function flawlessly. She loves finding clever, sometimes unexpected solutions to difficult layouts and improving how rooms flow and function. This approach has led to multiple industry awards and finalist nominations for her designs.
Originally from Finland, Sari and her family now live in Sydney’s Inner West, where she intimately understands the limitations of period homes and the challenges faced by her busy clients. She loves working with professionals who want to improve their homes but don’t have the time to organise everything themselves or simply don’t know what to do first.
As the founder of INSIDESIGN, she combines her strong background in corporate project management with her passion for interior design. Her project management background also brings structure and attention to detail to the design process.
Sari is passionate about helping clients live in a home that feels a sense of calm in their busy lives. INSIDESIGN’s mission is to create beautiful and comfortable homes that match each client’s needs and personal style.

Marcus Hay
interior decorator & stylist
Marcus has an impeccable touch for styling.
Marcus is our in-house stylist and decorator. He assists our clients with art curation, furniture selection, colour schemes, fabric choices and accessorising. His many years in publishing, including roles as Art Director and Style Director, have given him an exceptional understanding of colour, composition and the details that bring a room together.
Marcus studied Visual Communication at the University of Technology Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Design with Honours. His career has included work for Inside Out, Vogue Living and Belle Magazine, before moving to New York in 2005. There he established his own styling and art direction business, working with clients including Herman Miller, Williams Sonoma, West Elm and Bloomingdale’s.
After 19 years in the USA, Marcus returned to Australia in 2024, and we are delighted to have his experience and wonderful eye as part of the INSIDESIGN team.

Lisa Nolan
ASSISTANT / ADMIN
Lisa keeps our wheels turning!
She handles procurement and logistics, coordinating trades, deliveries and all the details that keep our projects organised and moving. With Lisa on the job, very little escapes her attention.
Before joining INSIDESIGN, Lisa had a long career as an Executive Assistant. Years spent working closely with senior executives mean she understands how many of our clients work and what they expect: clear communication, efficiency and getting things done without needing to be asked.
With a Diploma of Colour Design, Lisa also has a strong background in colour. She creates many of our colour schemes and assists with furniture sourcing. She is an invaluable sounding board during our design process.
