Dealing with a small powder room? Clever design can help create space, make it functional while still wowing your guests. Here are my top tips for making use of the space:

𝗟𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 - Wall sconces, LED strip lighting, backlit mirrors create to create mood lighting.

𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝘅𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 - Floating vanities and tapware maximise floor space and creates an open feel.

𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿 - Mirrors reflect light and create depth making small spaces feel more expansive.

𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 - Don’t be scared to use moody colours or textured tiles to show of your style.

𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘀 - Such yummy, decadent colours will brighten up any indoor and outdoor space with these portable lamps. I’m choosing the brown.

𝗔𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗻 𝗗𝗲́𝗰𝗼𝗿 - Although it’s still hot outside, the new season @lmhome_ decor and colourways are making autumn ready

𝗟𝘂𝘅 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗹𝘀 - I’ve wanted this towel set from Baine for a very long time. Available from @mecquestore - I think it might be time for me to make a purchase.

𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 - My local @pennyfours does the best seeded sourdough. It’s a staple in the household, especially buttered (thickly).

We’re bringing you a series of the common questions we get asked when speaking to clients. The most popular question we’re delving into first is, “What should I expect during the design process?”

With our process we want to include you to the early brainstorming process so that you will feel seen and heard and your ideas are considered. We would never design a house just in “our style” - it needs to be your style.

After the concept design has been agreed you would see us less, while we put our heads down and get to work to specify fixtures, fittings and furnishings and to draw detailed designs - until we’re ready to share these all with you.

When the implementation work starts you could expect us to follow up tiniest details with tradespeople and follow up deliveries and deficiencies until they are solved. It’s healthy to always expect something to go wrong during a renovation - we will be there to solve it for you if and when it happens.

With us you could also expect transparency on pricing - we don’t take commissions from builders, joiners or tradespeople and we pass part of the trade discount to you.
